Abstract
The article summarizes theoretical approaches to the formation of the concept of global chains of added value in terms of sustainable development, the definition and systematization of components of green value chains, as well as tools aimed at achieving the goal of their "green transition". The study is based on the position that an ecological business process requires coordination and integration of the entire green environment. The green business value chain involves green manufacturing design, green supply chain management, green management, green procurement, green manufacturing, green marketing, green information systems, green accounting, green technology and the 3Rs. In more detail, the article examines the concept of two-stage ecological production, which includes the design of the production of finished products and the production process of waste processing. Among the tools introduced by international organizations to promote the "green transition" in value chains at the global and national levels, the article focuses on the UNIDO Green Industry Platform, the purpose of which is to introduce social and environmental considerations into the main course of business activities in all countries and regions through more effective use of energy and raw materials, innovative practices and application of new green technologies.
