Abstract

The article is devoted to questions of influence of the development of information, communication and digital technologies on transformation which take place in international production systems. The modern technological directions of the development of digital economy are investigated. It is determined that digital technologies and data derived from their use can provide new sources of knowledge, innovation and profit for business. It is proved that information and communication technologies (ICTs) are a fundamental stimulus for the growth of international production. Coordination of increasingly complex and scattered global production networks could not have been possible without significant improvement in communication capabilities. The directions of the main transformations taking place in the existing approaches to the organization and management of international production systems are determined.
