Abstract

The article describes some specific features of tourism activities, approaches to the definition of the concept of tourism The role of the tourism industry in the world economy has been illustrated with the help of statistics It has been concluded that tourism is an inherent part of the life of any civilized society, and the level of the development of tourism in a country demonstrates the population’s welfare and the availability of economic opportunities for travelling. The analysis of the development of the tourism industry in Ukraine demonstrates the negative trends are the result of political and economic happenings in the country. The composition, structure and features of tourism industry that the article looks at lead to the conclusion that it is a holistic reproductive system with an integral effect. Due to the enormous impact on the world economy, the facilitation of economic development and new lobs in many parts of the world, it is imperative that the country encourage policies that promote steady growth of tourism.
