Priority directions of ukrainian-chinese economic cooperation development

The relevance of the development of economic cooperation between Ukraine and China, taking into account the trials that Ukrainian-Chinese relations are undergoing at the current stage, one of the points of tension in which іs Chinese interaction with Russia, are substantiated in the article. The current situation and prospects of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries are studied, and the prospects of Ukraine within the framework of the «One Belt, One Road» initiative are outlined. In the sphere of Ukrainian-Chinese investment cooperation, attention is focused on certain problematic issues regarding unrealized projects and existing disputes between the parties under investment and credit agreements. The most priority investment projects related to the creation of agricultural joint ventures, energy modernization projects, the electrification of Ukrainian railways, and the creation of logistics and transport infrastructure are identified. Projects related to the development of «green» automotive industry are interesting for the Chinese economy, within the framework of which Ukraine can initiate the partial placement of electric car production capacities on its territory. The technological progress of the domestic economy in the field of hydrogen energy and transport development can be supported by joint projects between the EU, China and Ukraine. It is substantiated that in accordance with the priority directions of the development of Chinese industry defined in the «Made in China 2025» Program, by eliminating the negative factors that slow down bilateral economic cooperation, the partnership between Ukraine and China can be mutually beneficial, productive and effective for both countries in the scientific and technical sphere – from the production of space and aviation products, marine high-tech ships, advanced railway transport equipment, energy-saving vehicles and vehicles using new types of energy, new materials, high-tech medical devices.
