Transnationalization of business in the countries of the European Union

Abstract

The article examines the peculiarities of the development of business transnationalization processes in the countries of the European Union. The dynamics of the number of units controlled by parent companies of other countries, located on the territory of the EU, as well as the number of branches of European Union companies operating in other countries were analyzed. An analysis of the change in the positions of EU TNCs in the leading world rankings was carried out, and the change in the level of capitalization was determined. The trends in the development of foreign direct investment in the countries of the European Union under the influence of the crisis caused by the pandemic are analyzed. The factors that most influence the development of transnationalization processes in the countries of the European Union are determined.
