Abstract

Organizational and legal mechanism of state governance of food safety in Ukraine is analyzed. Basic elements are identified. The problems of formation of a single mechanism of state governance of the given field are considered. The problems of reforming land relations and the development of the agro-food complex, export and import of food products, the entry and use of genetically modified commodities and raw materials, the lack of full-fledged organizational, regulatory and regulatory regulation and mechanisms of state food safety management - point to the importance of improving the state management of food security in country. Suggestions for their improvement were made. The priority of increasing the level of development of the agro-industrial complex, at the state level, encourages the use of other tools of management such as logistics, but which cooperate with the main traditional methods and means. The existence of an effective organizational and legal mechanism of state food safety management will create conditions for the development of the agro-food complex, which include functioning of the state control system for imported goods and control over the use of genetically modified commodities and raw materials.
