Complex assessment of management innovation dynamics amid extreme uncertainty

Abstract

The article analyzes the modern management paradigm, which is undergoing fundamental transformations under the cumulative effect of global geopolitical, economic, and resource shocks. It is established that these factors have fostered an environment of extreme uncertainty, rendering traditional linear management models—previously focused on long-term stability and cost optimization—ineffective. The study identifies an urgent necessity for transitioning toward strategic resilience and adaptive management systems capable of functioning amidst continuous external upheavals of an extreme nature. Based on an analysis of macroeconomic dynamics and sectoral economic stability, the shift from classical management models to the concept of strategic resilience is identified. Seven key patterns of management innovation that emerged as a reaction to extreme uncertainty have been systematized, specifically: forced digital migration, the reconfiguration of logistical ecosystems through blockchain technologies, and the implementation of human-centric management. An integrated methodological approach is proposed for assessing the effectiveness of management transformations via an innovative adaptability coefficient. This coefficient synthesizes indices of digital convergence, structural agility, and anthropocentric resilience, thereby enabling the differentiation of enterprises according to their levels of adaptability.
