Theoretical basis of global economic development unevenness

The theoretical foundations of the global economic development unevenness have been studied. It was determined that, at different historical stages of the development of the world economy, approaches to determining the levers of economic growth, determinants of the unevenness of global economic development have varied, developed and transformed. The scientists’ views distinguish the degree of integration of countries into the global economy and international division of labor, innovative and technological development, investment attractiveness of countries, etc. as factors of uneven economic development. However, despite the technological paradigm transformation, changes in social structures, significant intercountry investment flows, the importance of international trade has traditionally remained high. As a result of the analysis, the theoretical views’ evolution on the mechanism of interaction of international trade and unevenness of global economic development has been provided, with the isolation of the foreign trade lever as a constant and key one and in the context of the technological paradigm transformation to the stage of active use of cybernetic systems and production digitalization.
