Assessment of the social security: international and national experience

The article is devoted to the definition of methodological approaches to the assessment of social security in modern conditions, taking into account international and national experience. The main indicators of social development in the global dimension are analyzed with the help of global indicators: the Global Competitiveness Index, the Social Progress Index, the Human Development Index, the Welfare Index. The methods of assessment of the social security in national practice are highlighted. The necessity of carrying out a comprehensive assessment of social security in order to overcome threats and dangers in the social sphere, taking into account the leading foreign experience and the work of domestic scientists, was determined.
