AI and AI-Assisted Technologies Use Policy

The Editorial Board acknowledges the growing role of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in scholarly activities and supports their responsible use in accordance with the principles of academic integrity, transparency, and reproducibility of research results. This policy defines the permitted and prohibited uses of AI during the preparation of manuscripts.

  1. General Principles

   AI tools (including generative language models, automated data analysis systems, text-editing tools, etc.) may be used solely as supportive instruments. Authors bear full responsibility for the content, accuracy, originality, and scientific integrity of the submitted work.

AI tools cannot be listed as authors of a manuscript, as they do not meet authorship criteria (they cannot assume responsibility, provide consent for publication, or hold legal accountability).

  1. Permitted Use of AI

   The use of AI is permitted for:
   – language editing and improvement of writing style;
   – translation of text;
   – technical formatting;
   – auxiliary analysis of large datasets, provided that the methodology is fully described;
   – generating ideas for structuring material, without automatically producing scientific results.

  1. Prohibited Use of AI

   The following uses are prohibited:
   – submitting AI-generated content as original scientific work without proper disclosure;
   – using AI to fabricate or falsify data, images, or research results;
   – automatically generating reference lists without verifying their accuracy;
   – manipulative use of AI to bypass plagiarism detection or compromise the peer review process.

  1. Disclosure Requirements

   Authors must disclose the use of AI tools in a dedicated section of the manuscript or at the end of the article (before the References section), specifying:
   – the name of the tool and its version (if applicable);
   – the purpose of its use;
   – the scope of its application (e.g., language editing, data analysis, etc.).

Example statement:

“During the preparation of this manuscript, the authors used [tool name] for language editing purposes. The authors take full responsibility for the content of the article.”

  1. Monitoring and Responsibility

   The Editorial Board reserves the right to examine submitted materials for improper use of AI. In cases of violations, measures may be taken in accordance with the journal’s publication ethics policy (request for corrections, manuscript rejection, article retraction, etc.).

  1. Policy Updates

   This policy may be reviewed and updated in line with evolving international standards and developments in artificial intelligence technologies.
